Christian Coleman and World Athletics have filed two separate appeals against decisions of AIU Disciplinary Tribunal.

World Athletics (WA) has filed an appeal against the decision rendered by the AIU Disciplinary Tribunal on 14 October in relation to 400m World champion Salwa Eid Naser.

In its appeal to the CAS, WA requests that the AIU Disciplinary Tribunal decision of 14 October be set aside and that it be replaced with a new decision in which Salwa Eid Naser is found to have committed an ADRV and sanctioned with a two-year period of ineligibility. That could mean she will miss the Olympic Games.

In the second appeal, World champion at 100m Christian Coleman has filed an appeal against WA in relation to the decision issued by the AIU Disciplinary Tribunal dated 22 October 2020.

Coleman, in his appeal, requests that the decision of the AIU Disciplinary Tribunal be set aside. He also wants the sanction be eliminated, or in the alternative, reduced.

In case reduced for example by one year, he could make it to the US Olympic Trials end of June.

The CAS arbitrations are in progress, and separate Arbitral Panels are being appointed to decide each matter.
