Nesta Carter will make his return to the track this weekend, Saturday February 11, at Milo Western Relays.

Bruce James, president of MVP Track Club, confirmed Carter will be back on track this weekend.

“The IAAF has confirmed to the JAAA who have told us Nesta is not suspended and is free to run,” James said.
“…And as such Nesta’s first race will be at Western Relays this weekend where he will run as part of the MVP 4×1 team,” James concluded.

Carter’s sample from the Beijing 2008 Olympics was found to contain the prohibited substance methylhexaneamine during the IOC re-testing in 2016.

He missed the Rio Games and along with Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Michael Frater, lost the team’s 4x100m gold medal won in Beijing.

Carter’s legal team is in the process of appealing his disqualification of medal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
