Nine-time Olympic Games champion Usain Bolt and Rio Olympic sprint double winner Elaine Thompson, are shortlisted for Laureus World Sports Awards.
Bolt won the sprint double at the Rio Olympic Games and helped Jamaica to the 4x100m title at August.
Thompson, who became the first Caribbean woman to win the sprint double at the Olympic Games, is one of two track and field woman in for the award.
American Allyson Felix, who was second in the Rio 400m final, is also shortlisted.
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, British duo Andy Murray and Mo Farah are both also included in the six nominees, along with United States basketball stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry, as announced on Wednesday.
