Usain Bolt has entered to run the men’s 100m while Yohan Blake is likely to run the sprint double at the Jamaica Senior Championships (Beijing WC, Trials) starting, later this week (June 25-28).

According to information released on Sunday, 21st June, by the JAAA, Bolt, the World Championships sprint double champion, is down to contest the 100m.

Bolt, who throughout the season, has been saying that he was unsure about running at the Trials, told a press conference, last weekend,  after a poor showing at the Adidas Grand Prix Meeting in New York, “After this, I think I might be competing at the National Trials, but I will have to talk to my coach…”

Blake, the 2011 World 100m champion, is recovering from injury, but in his lone 200m two weeks ago, ran 20.21 at the JAAA All-Comers Meet. He is registered to run both the 100m and 200m.
