Akeem Bloomfield, Nikita Tracey and Junelle Bromfield won their events while Asafa Powell finished fourth at Tuesday’s (9 July) Spitzen Leichtathletik Luzern, a European Athletics Premium Meeting.

Bloomfield beat a strong field to take the men’s 200m dash in 20.53. Trinidad and Tobago’s Kyle Greaux finished second in 20.58 while Yohan Blake was fifth in 20.64.

Tracey topped the women’s 400m hurdles field in 55.44 ahead of fellow Jamaican Rhonda Whyte 55.72.

Junelle Bromfield ran 52.65 to win the women’s 400m ahead of Auri Bokesa (ESP) 52.70

Powell, who qualified for the men’s 100m final with 10.35, returned with 10.17 for fourth. The event went to South African Akani Simbine in 10.06.

Kemar Hyman of Cayman Islands ran 10.33 in the first round and 10.24 in the final.

Jamaicans Megan Tapper 12.96 and Janeek Brown 13.07 were second and fourth respectively in the women’s 100m hurdles. Tobi Amusan of Nigeria won the event in 12.89.

Bahamian Pedrya Seymour was fifth in 13.07.

Natalliah Whyte (JAM), 11.20 and Michelle-Lee Ahye (TTO), 11.29) were second and fourth respectively in the women’s 100m dash. Gina Lückenkemper (GER) 11.20 came out on top.
