All the big names made it through to the Semi- Finals of the men and women 400m.
Christine Day was the fastest qualifier, with 50.78 seconds on the female side, while there were notable performances from the likes of Stephenie Ann McPherson, who won comfortably in a time of 52.10 sec, ahead of Anastasia Leroy at 53.31 sec.

Heat 2 saw Shericka Jackson winning in 52.74, Novlene Williams-Mills in heat 3, 52.51 sec, fought off a hard battle from Annesha Mclaughlin-Whilby, who finished second in 52.74 sec.

On the men’s side, we saw Peter Matthews posting the fastest time of 45.75 sec, in heat 5.

Creditable times also came from National Record holder Rusheen McDonald, 45.99 and Christopher Taylor, who won a hard battle, winning in a time of 46.25, Jonia McDonald’s 46.29.
