The Kingston College (KC) student threw the U20 boys’ discus 66.61 metres, a big personal best. He just missed Traves Smikle record of 66.88m.

Meanwhile, Garriel White of Hydel won the girls’ U20 400m hurdles in 57.28 ahead of Moeisha Bridgen of Vere, 58.62.

Roshawn Clarke of Camperdown won the U20 boys’ 400m hurdles in 51.69. Shamer Blake of STETHS was the U18 boys’ winner in 52.86.

Romaine Beckford cleared 2.15m to take the top spot in the U20 boys’ high jump. Aaron Mckenzie of Kingston College (KC) and Brandon Pottinger of Palmer Trinity both cleared 2.06m, but the former got the victory on countback in the U18 high jump.

Ackelia Smith won the U20 girls’ triple jump with 13.47m. Ricardo Hayles of Clarendon threw 53.86m to win the U18 boys’ discus.

Vashaun Vascianna of KC leads the qualifiers in the U20 boys’ 110m hurdles with 13.44.

Alicke Cranston of STETHS ran 21.60 for the day’s only sub-22 in the U18 boys 200m. Gregory Prince of St. Jago, 21.36, also ran the only sub-22 in the U20 section.

Tina Clayton ran 24.21 to lead the U20 girls’ 200m qualifiers. Annalee Robinson of Vere won her heat in 24.77.
