CARSON, CA - An 'in form' Felix, is likely to have the edge on her American rival, who was surprisingly defeated by Novlene Williams in her last race in Kingston. Felix will be making her 200m debut for the season, having been in good form, setting a world-leading time of 50.75 secs in the 400m, in Doha, Qatar.
In the 100m hurdles, the shock Olympic Champion Dawn Harper, will face the two-time world champion Michelle Perry, who is on the comeback trail after suffering a recent injury; as well as the former world and world indoor champion Perdita Felicien of Canada.
Former world champion Lauryn Williams faces the US champion Muna Lee and the 2003 world champion Torri Edwards in the 100m.
Jeremy Wariner will start as the commanding favourite in the 400m, whilst world silver medallist Derrick Atkins from Bahamas faces the Olympic silver medallist Richard Thompson from Trinidad & Tobago in the 100m
Jenn Stuczynski set two American indoor records and the Olympic silver medallist will intend to continue in the same vein of form in the women’s pole vault.
