Indira Spence and Raymond Brown are among 17 track and field athletes named to represent Jamaica at next month’s XXII Central American and Caribbean Games.

Spence, who will take part in the women’s 100m hurdles, and shot putter Brown, were members of Jamaica’s team to the World Championships in Deagu 2011 and Moscow 2013 respectively.

The women’s team will also have Tara-Sue Barnett (discus), Samantha Curtis (200m), Gayon Evans (100m), Natalie Grant (hammer), Vanessa Levy (hammer) and Genneva Greaves (shot put).

Also on the men’s team are Aubrey Allen (triple jump), Kegan Campbell (400m, 4x400m), Alvin Green (400m, 4x400m), Marzel Miller (4x400m), Nassive Powell (4x400m), Andre Clarke (400mH), Eric Keddo (110mH), Orrin Powell (javelin) and K’Don Samuels (pole vault).

Merlene Hamilton will manage the team, which will have Edward Hector as the head coach. Orville Byfield is the assistant coach and Michael Newland the masseur.

The XXII will be held in Veracruz, Mexico from November 14-30.
