Edwin Allen’s Rayan Holmes won the High School Boys’ 400m hurdles Championship on Saturday’s final day of the 122nd Penn Relays.

Holmes, who was favourite to take the Champs title, but fell ill at the start, won here in 52.47 seconds.

Rival Leacock of Christ Church in Barbados finished second in 52.82 while Jaelen Williams of Phoebus of Hampton, VA.

‘I feel extremely proud,” said Holmes, who added “ It’s a beautiful look, 52.point in this condition, now I am looking at myself to go 49 this season.”

Kingston College’s (KC) duo Sherwayne Allen 54.01 and Orlando Smith 54.18 were 6th and 8th respectively.
