Former world 100m record holder Asafa Powell is one of several Jamaicans to arrive in Tottori, Japan on Saturday.
Powell, who will contest the men’s 100m at the Beijing World Championships (August 22-30), arrived in Tottori Prefecture for Jamaica’s 10-day training camp.
“Was a long trip but I’m finally here,” said Powell on Saturday morning.
Also, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Ristananna Tracey and Annsert Whyte.
Bailey-Cole posted a photo saying, “welcome to Tottori.”
Meanwhile, members of the local delegation left the island on Thursday via Beijing for the camp.
The camp that is mandatory for all members of the team will end three days ahead of the start of the Championships at the Birds-Nest stadium.
