Bahamian Shaunae Miller was in impressive form at the Tom Jones Memorial Classic on Friday (24 April).

At the event commemorating the life and work of a former head coach at Gainesville's University of Florida, Miller won the 400m in an excellent PB and World leading 50.17. 

In the 100m for men, T&T's Keston Bledman also made a World leading 10.01 (+1.5) to beat Marvin Bracy of USA 10.11.

In the second race, Olympic medalist Walter Dix won in 10.17 (+1.2m/s wind) ahead of Briton´s James Ellington 10.20 and Sean Safo-Antwi of Great Britain & N.I. 10.32. 

Elsewhere at the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa,  Jamaica's sprint hurdles duo, Andrew Riley (13.32 for 3rd spot and national record holder, Hansle Parchment (13.40) trailed US Indoor Champion Aleec Harris, who did a world leading 13.16 in the men’s 110m hurdles.

Reigning world champion David Oliver  was second in 13.19.
