KINGSTON, Jamaica – Kaliese Spencer seemed “uncomfortable” while Christine Day claimed "I am not disappointed” in published media interviews after their departure from the MVP track club.

Day, who was advised via text message that she would not be welcomed back and Spencer, who found out about her separation from the club on TV, have both moved on to Cameron Blazers Track Club.

“I have been there for like 10 years, and I was getting a bit uncomfortable,” said Spencer.

“I don’t think that I was needed any longer (at the club), put it that way …I just believe I was like an outcast really,” added Spencer, the four-time Diamond League 400m hurdles winner.

Day was quoted as saying, “I’m not disappointed.”

“I am just looking forward to the future,” she added while paying tribute to her former coach, “I just thank him (Stephen Francis) for the years he coached me.”
