Jamaica won the women’s 4x100m and 4x400m at the 121st Penn Relays here at the Franklin Field Stadium, in Philadelphia.

The women’s 4x100m team of Kerron Stewart, Sherone Simpson, Schillonie Calvert and Natasha Morrison crossed the finish line in 43.70.

USA finished second in 43.79 and Nigeria, third in 44.22.

In the 4x400m, Christine Day led off with 52.2 to Patricia Hall (52.4), who passed to Anastasia Le-Roy (51.55) to provide Stephenie-Ann McPherson (50.47), on anchor, with the perfect lead.

McPherson took Jamaica across the line in 3:26.58 ahead of USA in 3:28.42 and Australia 3:32.31.

Jamaica with Asafa Powell on anchor, finished second in the men’s 4x100m, beaten by USA with Justin Gatlin 38.68 to 38.88.

Nesta Carter, Michael Frater and Jason Livermore were the other Jamaica team members.

The women’s 4x200m was very close between Jamaica and USA, but the latter came out on top in the photo finish as both teams did 1:31.98.

Jamaica’s team members were Shericka Williams, Simpson, Calvert and Morrison.

The Caribbean All Stars with Debbie Ferguson-McKenzie, Anthonique Strachan, Lanece Clarke, Sheniqua Ferguson finished third in 1:32.40

Jamaica men’s 4x200m team with Jermaine Brown, Rasheed Dwyer, Jason Livermore and Oshane Bailey also finished behind to USA 1:20.64 to 1:21.45.

In the men’s 4x400m, Bahamas with Demetrius Pinder, Michael Mathieu, Alonzo Russell (45.48) and Ramon Miller (45.57) finished second in 3:01.63 behind USA 3:00.86.

Jamaica with Allodin Fothergill (46.8), Javon Francis (45.3), Ricardo Chambers (45.89) and Rusheen McDonald (45.07) finished third in 3:03.02.
