Jaheel Hyde has withdrawn from the Olympic Development Men’s 400m hurdles here at the 121st Penn Relays.

Hyde's manager Garfield Coke confirmed the athlete’s withdrawal the Franklin Field stadium event.

Coke said Hyde would instead focus on the upcoming Cayman Invitational, the National Senior Championships and among other meets.

“He is currently in preparation mode for his CAPE units and looking forward to commence studies at a local University in September 2015,” said Coke.

Hyde was expected to face Jeffery Gibson, Emanuel Mayers, Mario Briscoe, Brian Richards, Reggie Rucker, Kelton Cumberbatch, SeanAtkinson,  Uche Oparaku, George Erazo, Alan Laws Jr. and Assaurus Thompson in the event, which would be a time final.

Earlier, Penn Relays officials met and decided to prevent Jamaica's Boys and Girls Champs standout Michael O'Hara and Hyde from competing for their school because they are deemed to have contractual agreements with telecommunication companies in Jamaica.

However, O’Hara was given the all clear to run after some legal manoeuvres.
