World Championships silver medallist, Shaunae Miller, and Steven Gardiner, won their respective 400m while high jumper, Ryan Ingraham failed to spark on Saturday’s final day of Bahamas’ Olympic Trials at the Thomas A. Robinson Stadium in Nassau.

Miller was easy in the women’s 400m, crossing the line in 52.17 seconds. Lanece Clarke was second in 53.28 and Shaquania Dorsett, third in 53.97.

Gardiner dominated the men’s 400m to take the top spot in 44.46, way ahead of Alonzo Russell, 45.25 and Chris Brown, the old warrior, 45.59.

Donald Thomas, Jamaal Wilson and Trevor Barry are the three high jumpers going to the Olympics for Bahamas.

Thomas won the trials with a 2.27m clearance over Wilson 2.25m and Barry, also 2.25m. Ryan Ingraham, however, one of the best jumpers in the Caribbean, will be left at home to watch the greatest sporting event on television.

Tynia Gaither, 23.00, was the best female 200m sprinter on the day. She beat Anthonique Strachan, returning from injuries, 23.40 and Sheniqua Ferguson, 23.54.

Ian Kerr ran 20.72 to take the top spot in the men’s half lapper. Blake Barlett, 20.82 and Elroy McBridge, 20.85, were the second and third place finishers.

Leevan Sands, 16.60m, and Lathone Collie,16.00m, were the top two triple jumpers.

Ivanique Kempt won the women’s 100m hurdles in 13.58 ahead of Krystal Bodie, 13.96.

Teshon Adderley ran 2:08.81 in the women’s 800m, while Rocky Jean-Louis, 1:52.09 crossed the line first in the men’s event.
