Former Edwin Allen athletes Marleena Eubanks and Tarasue Barnett were winners at Saturday’s NAU Invitational, held at Northern Arizona University.
Eubanks, who was a star at Champs, won the women’s 800m open run in 2:10.92. She beat Ioana Citireag of Speed Factory 2:13.25 and Charlotte Kuzminski of CS San Marcos 2:23.38.
Barnett’s victory came in the women’s shot put with a throw of 14.88m. Sasha-Gaye Marston, another Edwin Allen past student, was fourth with a throw of 13.45m.
Central Arizona’s Camira Haughton, also a past student of Edwin Allen, ran 1:38.61 for 2nd in the women’s 600.
Christine Williford, who ran unattached, to finish in 1:35.80 was the event winner.
