According to information reaching Trackalerts.com, a protest was logged and the technical delegate decision is listed below.

“The athletes who did not qualify in heats ones and two of the men’s 110m hurdles round 1 shall be given the opportunity to run once again with the possibility to quality by time.”

“The rerun for those athletes will be conducted at 23:15 local time (21:15 Jamaica time) on Monday 15 August,” the release said.

In heat two, during heavy rain, Carter, who was in contention for top finish in his heat, hit the seventh hurdle and totally loss of balance. He finished seventh in 14.02 as Spain’s Orlando Ortega took the top spot in 13.32.
