Junelle Bromfield of St., Elizabeth Technical High School (StETHS) was a second place finisher in the high school girls’ 400m hurdles on Thursday’s opening day Penn Relays 2015.

Bromfield easily topped heat one in 60.80 over Anna Cockrell of Providence Day from Charlotte ???? 61.45. However, Brooklynn Broadwater, who ran in the final heat, bettered both times with 60.69 seconds.

“I was very disappointed with my time. I know I can run a lot faster,” Bromfield  said even before the final heat.

Despite running the event for first time this season, she is looking forward to better her tme to 56 seconds by the World Youth Championships, scheduled for Cali, Colombia this ummer..

Vere Technical High’s Shanice Clarke was 6th in 62.54 and Ranae McKenzie of Manchester High, 11th in 63.92
