Based on information released by the IAAF, Jamaican and University of Louisville senior Damar Robinson, had received an extended ban for failing a drug test in 2013.
Robinson, a former Jamaica junior and Calabar High high jumper, tested positive for an illegal substance at the Jamaica Junior Championships on 16 June 2013.
He was found guilty by the Jamaica Anti-doping Disciplinary Panel and was handed a one-year ban, retroactive to 16 June 2013.
However, IAAF’s release newsletter has highlighted a new development.
The IAAF mentioned that the positive test was taken during the Jamaica Junior Trials on 16 June 2013, however, it noted two years of ineligibility.
Robinson’s two years of ineligibility, according to the IAAF, started 14 July 2015 and ends 13 July 2017.
