Usain Bolt – IAAF Male Athlete of the Year – and Yohan Blake – the fastest man over 200m this season, are the front runners for the Male title while Veronica Campbell-Brown – winner of the women’s 200m and runner-up in the 100m at the World Championships in Daegu, looks set to take the female award.
Blake won the 100m World Championships title in Daegu and recorded the second fastest 200m of all-time, with a 19.26 secs run.
Usain Bolt, who became 25 years old in August, took the 200m World Championships title in Daegu, and had the fastest 100m time of the year – 9.76.
Both along with Nesta Carter and Michael Frater combined for a 37.04 secs world record, in the men’s 4×1 relay.
