KINGSTON, Jamaica – One of Jamaica’s top track & field schools will benefit, by month end, from a major development grant, thanks to telecommunications giant Digicel.

The Sports Development Foundation (SDF), Digicel said, selected 11 schools – Jamaica College, Kingston College, Calabar, Wolmer’s Boys, Munro College, St Elizabeth Technical, Holmwood, Edwin Allen, St Jago, Vere, and Manchester High, one of which will take the US$10,000 track & field grant.

The 11 were selected by the SDF based on their existing track and field programme and their expressed need for development

The lucky school to be awarded the grant will be selected through votes sent in to Digicel via text messages with the number that corresponds to your preferred school, to 284-9900 at a standard text rate of $3.00 per text, or voting online on Digicel’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/digiceljamaica.

The vote started midnight Friday and will end at 11:59 pm on Sunday, September 25. The winning school will be announced on Tuesday, September 27.

Go vote for the school of your choice now.
